Visual Arts

You only have to walk through the corridors, hall and classrooms of the school to see how much we value and nurture the artistic talents of our pupils. Each class follows a broad and varied art curriculum using a wide variety of media from modelling clay to fabric and fibre, paint, craft etc.

We give children the opportunity to enter the local Feiseanna each year and other art competitions both locally and nationally.

The Visual arts curriculum for children from junior infants to sixth class consists of six strands:

  • Drawing
  • Paint and colour
  • Print
  • Clay
  • Construction
  • Fabric and fibre.
