2nd Class Celebrate Maths Week 2025 with Fun, Learning and Exploration!

As part of Maths Week, 2nd class enjoyed playing maths games, took part in an interactive Kahoot and signed up for an online maths quiz, helping to build their number sense and reasoning skills. They even used smarties to create a colourful graph.📊

To finish off the week, the class took a trip into Sligo town for a special maths workshop in the local library, where they created their very own Mandalas using patterns and shapes, bringing maths and art together!   Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely lunch in Queen Maeves Square, followed by a walk along the Garavogue River. We even had a cosy break in the Glasshouse Hotel, where the children relaxed with some hot chocolate and cookies.

Before heading home, we made a final stop at the playground. It was a fantastic day out, filled with maths in the real world and lots of happy memories made with friends.
