Last Saturday, 31st January, was a proud and memorable occasion for current and former pupils, parents, and staff of St. Brendan’s NS, as a wonderful celebration was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the school’s opening in September 1985. The hall was beautifully decorated with balloons, bunting, old photographs, and treasured memorabilia collected over the years. Guests enjoyed speeches from our current principal, Ellie Kennedy, along with former staff members Eamonn Mullen, Marie Hurley, Michael McDonnell, and Mary McKinney, who fondly reflected on their time in St. Brendan’s and on the school’s journey of excellence over four decades. The school choir delighted everyone with songs that brought back happy memories for past pupils, while slideshows showcased photographs from years gone by. Sincere thanks to all who joined us for this special evening, which was filled with gratitude, pride, a sense of community and a renewed commitment to nurturing future generations.
