5th/6th Class Visit Famine Trail and Sligo Gaol

5th and 6th classes recently went on a history walk in Sligo Town. They visited the Famine Graveyard in Ballytivnan and the Famine Memorial on Quay St. They were very moved by the hardship and horror that the people of Sligo went through at the time. They continued on to the gates of Sligo Gaol at St. Anne's. It is not possible to tour the inside at the moment but we hope that they will re-visit with their families at a later time.
