Our Aistear theme for the month of October was 'The Witches' Den'.
We had so much fun learning all about witches, their houses, what they do, and then creating our very own witches' den in our classroom.
We decorated cauldrons, created spells and made a senior infant spell book.
We made many Halloween themed items with playdough - ghosts, pumpkins, spiders and so much more.
We had great fun at the water play area which was filled with lots of creepy, spooky items.
We also built cauldrons with cubes and witches' dens using junk art in our table groups. As you can see, each one is unique and great teamwork was shown during this activity.
Lastly, we sang a lot of Halloween themed songs, said rhymes, danced, and read stories, one of which was 'The Witch with an Itch'. We really enjoyed listening to this one.
