Assembly 12th October
On Wednesday 12th October we were delighted to hold our 1st assembly of the school year. It was really lovely to be finally able to come together and celebrate friendship and togetherness. The theme of this assembly was "Welcome" and we were delighted to be able to welcome all our new pupils and staff to the school. A special word of welcome was given to our 17 new Junior Infants and our new pupils from Ukraine. We are delighted that you are part of our school community and hope that you will be very happy here in St. Brendan's.
We are in the very lucky position that we have pupils from all over the world in our school and a welcome message was read out by pupils in 8 different languages-Gaeilge, English, Polish, Lithuanian, Arabic, Mandarin, Ukrainian and Russian. Each class performed a song or poem and the whole school sang some songs around the theme of friendship.
A special word of thanks to our Energy Savers team-Croía, Ali, Luke and Tracey who have been very busy over the last few weeks educating the whole school on energy awareness. They ran a poster competition on energy awareness and awarded prizes to each class. Well done to all and keep up the good work!
