Class Field Trip to Library & Forthill

12th Jun 2026
4th and 5th Class had a fantastic day today on a trip to Sligo. We began with a visit to the library, where we learned all about the Summer Stars Reading Challenge. We then visited the archaeological dig at Forthill, which is investigating the site of an old fort. We were lucky enough to see some of the artefacts that have been uncovered during the excavation.

To round off the day, we enjoyed a delicious ice cream from Fabio's as a reward for meeting our attendance target in the Stick with School campaign, which ran throughout the school in May.

Everyone had a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
