February in Senior Infants
February was a busy month in Senior Infants.
First, we had Valentine's Day. The students created lovely cards and pictures to bring home to their loved ones.
Next up was Pancake Tuesday. The students had the opportunity to watch how pancakes are made, took part in the stirring process, and well of course the best part was getting to taste them at the end and chose their own toppings.
Also this month, we began dance lessons with our 5th and 6th class teacher Ms. Kerins, with a little help from some of her students. She began teaching our class the 'Shoe the Donkey' dance, which the students really enjoyed.
Lastly, Spring has finally arrived and we have begun creating lovely Spring flowers for our Spring classroom display.
In Aistear, our theme for the month was 'The Sports Shop'. The students really enjoyed getting involved in this. Some students even brought in jerseys and sports items from home which really added to our fun and learning.
Overall, it was a fun filled month, and we can't wait for what's to come in March.
