The children in both infant rooms were busy taking on the role of the shopkeeper and the customer during this weeks maths stations.
One of the main aims of the new primary maths curriculum is that children see maths as important and useful to their every day lives. This week we provided lots of opportunites to practice using and exchanging coins.🪙
The children also engaged in fun hands on problems solving tasks using cuisenaire rods.
These were a fantastic purchase and are frequently used by students from infants to 6th class.
