Junior Infants-The Garden
As part of the SESE curriculum Junior Infants have been learning about the garden and all that can be seen in a garden at this time of the year. We took a walk around our own local school environment to see what was growing around our school. We observed lots of plants and natural materials and we collected some items to bring back with us. In the classroom we sorted our items according to their colours-browns, greens and other colours. We also found some objects had made their way into the garden which should have been put in the bin and we talked about the importance of looking after our environment and "leaving no trace".
