We had a very exciting Maths Week in St. Brendan's N.S this year.
It was an action packed week of events which included online maths quizzes, daily riddle competitions, maths is fun activities with the junior classes, kahoot quizzes in 1st-3rd class, exploring Bee-Bots, IZAK9 tasks, estimation competitions and lots of fabulous playful daily activities in each classroom. To end Maths Week we hosted a maths carnival in our school hall, which showcased lots of fun games and challenges. A special thank you to Shannan from MAIA Purposeful Play, who very kindly let us borrow some of her fabulous resources. Also huge thanks to all the parents who joined us in the afternoon.
Extra thanks goes to the pupils in 6th class who were very busy in the weeks leading up to the maths carnival. The children in 4th and 5th class were also involved in the organising of the stations and were extremely helpful during maths week. I think we can all agree Lucyna from 6th class did a great job at reading out our daily riddle over the intercom. Well done Everyone!
Lastly thanks to all the teachers and SNA's for help making maths week a huge success this year. It was a great team effort!
