Potion Making and Barmbrack Tasting in Senior Infants
While learning all about Halloween and 'The Witches' Den', we decided it was only fair to have a little treat.
In our groups, we made our very own potions. We couldn't believe our eyes as they bubbled over. This was so exciting. We had to wear our safety goggles for this one!
We also talked about some Halloween traditions. Our teacher introduced us to 'barmbrack'. Once we heard about the hidden ring inside it, we really wanted to try some. Ms. Reynolds brought some in and we had a taste test. Some of us enjoyed it more than others, but we all gave it a go. We had to make sure that the ring was found before we tried any of it. One lucky winner found the ring in his piece.
