Junior and Senior Infants trip to Sligo Folk Park
On Friday 15th November Junior and Senior Infants visited Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown for our local history field trip as part of our SESE curriculum. We were particularly interested in comparing life in the past with life today-old vs new. We were very excited to be going on the bus. The bus driver was great fun and played lots of our favourite songs including Baby Shark! We learned a lot about how people lived a long time ago, about shops, houses, school, farming, machinery and household items from the past. Thanks to all in Sligo Folk Park for a lovely day and special thanks for the delicious hot chocolate they gave us before we left. Take a look at their website here https://sligofolkpark.com/ .
