Sports Day 2024

Our annual school sports day took place on Friday 14th June. Pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class participated in a variety of activities throughout the day from athletics to football, dance and parachute games as well as novelty races and co-operative games. The day was a great success and even some heavy showers couldn't put a dampener on the day.

We were delighted to be joined by coaches, players and officials from Cartron United who shared some of their soccer skills and knowledge with us. They also brought the Frank Kennedy Memorial Cup with them which they won recently. Thanks to Des, John, Gerry, Brendan, Nathan and Shane for taking the time to join us and thanks to our own Cartron United player, Mr. Feeney for organising it.

The day was rounded off with a very exciting challenge match between Cartron United and St. Brendan's. The game was played with great enthusiasm by both teams and with huge support from the sidelines, very little separated the 2 sides in a hard fought contest. Cartron United ran out winners in the end (with the help of some of our own very skilled soccer players).
