This week we have been learning all about St. Brigid, one of Ireland's best known saints whose feast day we celebrate on 1st February each year..Yesterday 5th class held St. Brigid's cross workshops with pupils from Infants to 6th class.They demonstrated how to make 2 different types of crosses and helped the younger pupils to make their own. Every child in the school was delighted to take home their own cross at the end of the day. We were also joined by several parents who came to learn the ancient tradition with us and we thank them for taking the time out of their busy day. Tbe children ere delighted to see tbem.
We pray that St. Brigid will bless our homes and keep us safe in the year ahead.
