Junior and Senior Infants were very excited to plant their own sunflowers seeds. As they grew they took great care to water them and had great fun observing them get bigger. They were able to identify the various parts of the plant: the roots, stems and leaves and then made some lovely sunflower pictures during Art. Last Friday they took their sunflowers home so hopefully Cartron and the surrounding area will be awash with colour over the Summer months. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the sunflowers in bloom!
