Tree Study

In 1st and 2nd class, we have been learning all about the Silver Birch tree. 

We learned that the Silver Birch tree got it's name because of it's grey/silver bark. 

In our school, we are lucky to have some Silver Birch trees!

We took a walk outside to look at the catkins that grow on them. There are no leaves yet but we hope to check again next month to see if there is any new Spring growth.
